My first time at SEJC was phenomenal.
First let me say to Harding University: thank you.
Thank you for your hospitality.
The school was absolutely stunning, and everyone who helped put this conference together deserves a grand thank you from all of us.
Without many of the volunteers, I would never have found my way to my sports photography competition. Without them, I wouldn’t have known what to do during my competition nor how to do it.
So thank you.
The competition went really well. It taught me that sometimes you only have one chance to get the perfect photo- even in sports photography. It truly made me into an even better sports photographer. Even though I did not place, I knew I worked hard and did my best.
The competition required me to photograph a high jumper, two throwers, and two long sprinters. Track and field is not my speciality, yet I am glad that this is what the competition entailed. It allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and forced myself to think of the best possible angles in order to get the perfect shot.
I am honored to have gone to SEJC. The trip went better than I ever have excepted it to go- the competition taught me the best way to shoot track and field. Let’s just say I am ready to rock 2019 SEJC.
